The experience
A Sloth Encounter is your chance to get up close and personal with the two-toed sloths at Plumpton Park Zoo. It is a small-group experience, perfect for animal lovers, and it is offered by appointment only.
Please note: holding the sloths is not allowed.

Small by design
Sloths are easily stressed, so we limit each encounter to 4 people at a time. A small group keeps the experience calm for Brooke and Sid and gives every guest time with them.

Your hosts
Brooke and Sid are Plumpton Park Zoo’s two Linnaeus’s two-toed sloths. Like all of Plumpton Park’s animals, they are cared for daily by our animal-care and veterinary teams.
Two-toed sloths come from the rainforest canopy of South America and spend almost their entire lives upside-down in the trees. Learn more about them, and how they live, on our two-toed sloth page.

Sloth Encounters are $100 per person. Plumpton Park Zoo members receive a 10% discount, one more reason to become a member. Guests must be 10 years or older.
