Bringing a scout troop, church group, senior group, club or workplace outing to the zoo? Groups of 15 or more paying visitors get a discounted rate, and because Plumpton Park Zoo is walkable at an easy pace, a group can spread out and go round at its own speed rather than being marched along in a line.

Group rates
- 15 paying admissions minimum to qualify
- $2 off regular admission for adults aged 13 and over
- $2 off regular admission for children 12 and under
- Guided tour: one hour with a member of zoo staff, optional — $45 per 20 people: $45 for up to 20, $90 for 21–40, $135 for 41–60, $180 for 61–80, $225 for 81–100
- Parking: free
- Payment: taken in full when you book, so there is nothing to settle at the gate
- Reservations: required three weeks before your visit
Timing your visit
Two things are worth building your day around. The giraffe feeding station runs at 12:00 noon on weekdays and 11:00am and 1:00pm on weekends (11:00am and 1:00pm daily in summer), weather permitting — the most popular thing at the zoo for most groups. And hand stamps let anyone leave and come back the same day, so a group can break for a packed lunch off site and return without paying again.
The zoo is open seven days a week, 10:00am to 5:00pm for most of the year with last admission at 4:00pm, and 9:00am to 6:00pm between Memorial Day and Labor Day with last admission at 5:00pm. We close only on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Arriving with your group
- Your booking is already paid, so there is nothing to collect on the day. The group rate covers the people on that booking — anyone arriving separately and paying at the window pays the regular price.
- Have your group wait together outside the main entrance gates while one representative comes to the admissions window to check the whole group in.
- Once inside, anyone can get a hand stamp to leave and re-enter.
